Intra-city logistics solution provider Sagisu has raked in $2.1 million in its seed funding round from notable investors in the US and India.

Based out of Bengaluru and New Jersey, the startup will use the proceeds to build its flagship product Smart Logistic Hubs and expand into new geographies along with scaling up their technology platform and sales & supply chain capibilities.

The B2B logistics platform led by Mithun Kadur provides real-time information for enterprises and truckers, including shipping solutions via a mobile app that addresses problems related to price discovery, transparency, warehouse management, and driver information management.

With over 100 aggregated trucks serving under three products portfolio namely First Mile, Mid Mile, and Last Mile, Sagisu solves the pain point of transportation of retailers, e-commerce, FMCG, Dairy, Pharmacy, among others.

Besides, Sagisu is also planning to invest in the in-house capacity of fleets and will add two more products 'Just in Time' and 'Tailor made Solutions' for the Indian market.

Founded in May 2016, Sagisu has a teamsize of over 50 people and earlier it raised about $500K from HNIs.

With the rising demands of the supply chain, logistics startups in this segment are going to become trendsetters in India.

While biggies like Rivigo, Blackbuck and Delhivery are sitting on a pile of huge capital to become next Unicorn from the country, other startups in truck aggregation model such as TruckSuvidha, TruckMandi , TruckOla, Porter, 4Tigo and Lynk are also gearing up to take up the challenges and opportunities.
