HR Tech startup Hush raises Rs 4.5 Cr from Accel and Curefit's biz head

HR Tech startup Hush--founded by former Yahoo employees Ashutosh Dabral and Umesh Joshi, has raised Rs 4.5 crore in a fresh round of funding. Accel Partners and Shamik Sharma, Business Head at Curefit participated in the round.

Following the deal, the Bengaluru-based startup roped in Nikhil Raj, co-founder of Paysa.com, to its advisory board. For the uninitiated, Paysa is a Palo Alto-based advisory startup that uses machine learning to provide salary information and career success insights for both job seekers and businesses.

The fresh fund will be used to laucnh new features on the app besides increasing its headcount.

Employee-focused HR tech firm, Hush provides a platform that helps employees move to the next level in their career. With anonymity as a tool to facilitate candid workplace discussions, it also allows verified employees to rate their CEOs and CXOs.

Hush platform has been used by Flipkart, Amazon, Ola, Practo, Wipro, Accenture, Adobe, IBM, TCS, and Infosys to get answers to their workplace and career related queries.

The platform claims to have communities from over 300 companies and reliable salary data for more than 700 companies sourced from employees, HR professionals, and recruitment consultants.

The app claims that on an average users spends 10 minutes every day. Hush had earlier raised undisclosed seed fund from Accel, Sanjay Nadkarni, country manager at Houzz India and a clutch of angel investors.

Some products of Slack, Flock and Darwinbox compete with Hush.
