Funding in Indian startups this week (22 Oct- 27 Oct)

This week only eight Indian startups received funding, of which five received a total sum of about $54 million. Among them, ClearTax raised the highest investment of $50 million followed by Cube Wealth, which raised $2 million.

Meanwhile, funding for three of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

Shuttl: Bus aggregator Shuttl has secured $1 million from venture debt firm Trifecta Capital. The fresh capital comes within three months of raising $11 million Series B round led by Amazon India, Amazon Alexa Fund and Dentsu Ventures.

ClearTax: Online tax filing and compliance startup ClearTax has secured $50 million in its Series B round led by Hong Kong-based Composite Capital.

Cube: Wealth management app–Cube Wealth launched by serial entrepreneur Satyen Kothari has raised $2 million from Singapore-based venture fund Beenext, Japan-based Asuka Holding and 500 Startups.

VideoKen: Artificial intelligence video tech startup VideoKen has raised $0.93 million in their second round of seed funding led by SRI Capital and Touchstone Equities, Hyderabad Angels also participated.

GuruQ: Edtech startup GuruQ has raised around $0.33 million in a pre-Series A funding round from undisclosed investors.

Undisclosed deals this week

Biotechnology startup Clensta International, men grooming company LetsShave, and healthtech startup Medimetry did not disclose their financial details on funding.
