HRTech startup Leena AI, which recently graduated from Y Combinator, has raised about $2 million seed fund from investors including Elad Gil, Snapdeal founders-Kunal Bahl, Rohit Bansal, Fundersclub, cathexis ventures, and others.

During Y Combinator's summer class 2018, Leena had also raised an undisclosed sum from the Silicon Valley-based investor.

Entrackr had reached out to Leena AI and the startup has confirmed the deal and mentioned the participation of the aforementioned investors in the latest funding round.

For uninitiated, Elad Gil is an investor/advisor, who has been associated with companies like Airbnb, Coinbase, Gusto, Instacart, OpenDoor, Pinterest, and several others.

The startup will use the capital for scaling-up and gaining more customers on its platform.

Launched in 2017 by Adit Jain, Mayank Goyal, and Anand Prajapati as a provider of virtual assistants for the workplace to focus on human resources chatbot, Leena AI can be integrated into Cisco Sparks, Slack, Skype or Workplace by Facebook.

It offers more than 12 modules in HR including Onboarding, HR Services, Transactions and FAQ Automation, Expense Management, Travel Desk Automation, Ideas Bot among others.

Based out of Palo Alto, Leena has a regional office in Gurugram and presence in over 22 countries. It counts Coca-Cola, Cairn, Pearson, Marico, Pidilite, Axis Bank, and Reliance Capital in its clientele base.

The company aims to deploy Leena AI in over 100 companies within the next one year, reveals the company’s press statement.

Other startups in HRTech space include EDGE Networks, PeopleStrong, Bash, Skillate, and Darwinbox, ZingHR and SumHR.
