Expanding its horizon in B2B segment, Paytm has launched ‘Paytm AI Cloud’ for developers, startups, and enterprises. The cloud computing platform provides a suite of business-centric apps including ready-to-use services to automate their workflow, easy to integrate payments, messaging and customer engagement.

The payments major has claimed to store consumer data locally in servers located only in India while conforming to the highest security and privacy standards.

The company has committed around Rs 250 crore in this business.

Paytm has partnered with Alibaba for Cloud Computing Infrastructure and it will soon offer an enterprise-messaging solution in partnership with DingTalk to facilitate conversations across email, chat, call or audio-video conference.

During the launch of the data centre in India, Alibaba Cloud promised to provide high-performing and highly-secure products and services to clients in India across the e-commerce, gaming, media, retail and IoT sectors through an extensive network of distributors.

It will be interesting to see how Paytm leverages its major investors Alibaba’s Cloud computing business, which opened its first India data centre in Mumbai in January.

As we know Paytm focuses on full-stack payment infrastructure to accept payments and conduct payouts via online or offline. Through its easy-to-integrate API, developers can leverage the potential of integrating Paytm’s payments gateway which accepts payments using any payment method such as credit/debit Cards, UPI, Net banking and Paytm Wallet.

Besides the aforementioned services, its marketing automation platform will foster a one-on-one relationship with every customer across multiple channels.

Enterprises can now easily design their customer’s lifecycle, interaction touch-points, offer differentiated services, and rewards that matter to their business

With AI cloud in its kitty, Paytm will compete with some of the product suites of Freshworks, Zoho, Zendesk, Salesforce, to name a few.
