"Hello" brings people together around their interests to create positive, meaningful, authentic connections and sustained social engagement, the company said in a statement.

The app, currently available in Brazil with nearly one million downloads. It is now live on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Entrackr has tried to access the newly launched Hello app and found the aforementioned features with a seamless experience.

The firm is headquartered in San Francisco and with a development office in Mountain View, California.

Prior to Hello, Buyukkokten-a Turkish engineer at Google was a part of the team who developed Orkut. The social media platform was owned and operated by Google and was named after him.
