Funding in Indian startups this week (23-28 April)

This week 15 startups received funding, of which 14 received a total sum of about $71 million. Among them, Capital Float raised the highest investment of $29.2 million, followed by Nykaa which raised about $11.3 million.

Meanwhile, funding for one of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

List of disclosed funding deals this week

RailYatri: Train travel startup RailYatri has raised $10 million funds in Series B round led by impact investor Omidyar Network. Existing investors of the Noida-based crowdsourced platform including Nandan Nilekani, Blume Ventures, and Helion Venture Partners also participated in the round.

EdMobile: Mobile learning platform EdMobile has raised $0.8 million from impact investor Unitus Seed Fund and some angel investors.

POPxo: Women-centric digital community platform POPxo has raised $5.5 million in a round led by Chinese Mobile company Oppo and South Korea’s Neoplux.

Emotix: Robotics startup Emotix–the makers of personal companion robot, Miko, has raised $2 million in a funding round led by IDG Ventures India and YourNest.

Capital Float: Digital lending startup Capital Float has bagged $22 million from global e-commerce giant Amazon. The Bengaluru-based startup also raised $7.2 million in debt funding from Netherlands-based Triodos Investment Management.

ShoeKonnect: B2B marketplace platform for global footwear industry ShoeKonnect has raised $0.46 million from Naukri.com– run by Info Edge.

Pitstop: After-sales car service provider Pitstop has bagged $1.6 million as a part of its pre-Series A funding round from existing investors Singapore-based Goldbell Group and Blume Ventures.

Nykaa: Online beauty and personal care product retailer Nykaa has raised $11.3 million fresh funds. The funding round was led by existing investors such as Sunil Munjal’s family office, Marico’s Mariwala family office, and Dalip Pathak along with other existing and new high net worth individuals.

Mihuru: A startup which gives micro loans for air travel through its online platform, has raised seed fund of $0.15 million from undisclosed investors.

Career Anna: Online learning platform Career Anna has raised $0.4 million in structured financing from a group of angel investors represented by Subinder Khurana.

Mobikwik: Digital wallet startup Mobikwik has raised a debt of $4.5 million from Trifecta Capital.

Doxper: Digital healthtech startup Doxper has raised $1.1 million in pre-Series A funding led by existing investor Vidal Healthcare.

Hasura: Developer tools startup Hasura has raised $1.6 million in a seed round of funding led by Nexus Venture Partners.

PayMe India: Noida-based online lending platform PayMe India, has raised $2 million from Singapore-based angel investors.

Undisclosed deals this week:

Delhi-based healthtech startup ‘Visit’ has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Twitter co-founder Biz Stone and others.
