This week in Indian Startups funding news (12-17 March)

This week 12 startups received funding, out of which 11 were disclosed, which in total received a sum of about $188 million. Among them, Pine Labs raised the highest investment of $82 million, followed by Grofers, which raised about $62 million.

Meanwhile, only one out of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

Below is the summary of deals closed this week:

Grofers: It has raised about $62 million (Rs 400 crore) from existing investors. Softbank leads the round and increased its holding to 35 to 40 per cent while Tiger Global and Yuri Milner also participated in the fresh round.

Peritus.ai: an artificial intelligence (AI)-based platform which assists & automates support fulfilment for engineered IT systems in enterprise data centres, has raised $2 million from Ideaspring Capital and The Hive in a seed funding round.

Healofy: Multilingual parenting startup Healofy has secured $1 million in its seed funding round from Omidyar Network.

FanFight: Head InfoTech, which runs online gaming company Ace2Three, has picked up a majority stake in fantasy sports platform FanFight for $1 million.

Avail Finance: Online lending startup Avail Finance, which focuses on blue-collared workforce, has raised $17.2 million in a Series A round of funding through equity, debt and credit lines led by Matrix Partners.

SmartQ: A mobile app that enables queue-less ordering at food courts in malls and corporate office complexes has raised $1 million from a group of Dubai-based investors.

Pine Labs: Point-of-sale (PoS) solutions provider Pine Labs has raised $82 million in an investment round led by Actis Capital.

Curatio Healthcare: Dermatology products maker Curatio Healthcare has raised $20 million from private equity firm ChrysCapital. Following the investment, ChrysCapital will pick up a significant minority stake in the Chennai-based startup.

MCaffeine: Personal care startup MCaffeine has raised $0.5 million (about Rs 3.3 crore) in a pre-Series A round of funding, which has been led by a clutch of high net-worth individuals and angel investment platforms.

HealthAssure: Primary healthcare services provider HealthAssure has raised $1 million in pre-series A from The HR Fund.

Two55am: SAP service provider Vital Wires has acquired product innovation platform Two55am for $0.5 million (Rs 3 crore)

Undisclosed deal this week:

Recruitment startup Purple Quarter did not disclose its deal amount.
