Business-to-Business (B2B) artificial intelligence (AI) platform for hospitality industry Trilyo has raised $250,000 from Startup Buddy and Pulse Venture Capital.

The Bengaluru-based startup will use the fund to scale the operation in the country and South-East Asia.

The company was founded in 2015 by Gaurav Gambhir and Abhishek Moharana. It started out as a cloud-based customer management solutions for restaurants and now is focusing on the hotel industry.

The company's chat-based (Amazon Echo) solutions designed for the hospitality industry is a new add-on apart from providing other services such as multichannel order management, analytics to improve brand connect for restaurants, and managing CRM and promotions.

Trilyo claims to have more than 150 clients across Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi as well as overseas customers in Bangkok and Canada. The SaaS-based startup had earlier raised an undisclosed amount of funding in a Seed round from Singapore-based private investor and others in October 2016.

How chatbot useful for Hospitality startups

Chatbots can provide photos of the menus, enabling guests to click and instantly order. With proper integration into the hotel’s system, a chatbot can provide the guest updates on how long the wait will be before the meal arrives and what the total of the order was.

For instance, a guest can also demand a fresh set of towels or blanket over chatbots, the query will travel to the respective department and without any hassle, the service will be done as soon as possible.
