This week 21 startups received funding, out of which 16 were disclosed, which in total received a sum of about $168 million. Among them, Swiggy raised the highest investment of $100 million, followed by Strand Life Sciences which raised $13 million.

Meanwhile, five out of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

HealthifyMe: Bengaluru-based fitness startup HealthifyMe has raised funding of $12 million from Sistema Asia Fund, Samsung NEXT and others.

Funding Deals

Nazara Games: The Mumbai-based Nazara Gaming has raised $4 million (Rs 26 crore) from German esports firm Turtle Entertainment GmBH, which operates the world’s largest e-sports company ESL (Electronic Sports League).

Strand Life Sciences: Bengaluru-based Strand Life Sciences, a bioinformatics and diagnostics firm, has raised $13 million from Quadria Capital. The round also saw the participation of HealthQuad and Heritas Venture Fund.

PinkBlue: Bengaluru-based Clinical supplies provider PinkBlue has raised $0.79 million (Rs 5.1 crore) in Pre-Series A round from Orios Venture Partners. The debt funding also saw the participation of other investors, including Anupam Mittal, Sakate Khaitan and HNIs.

Swiggy: Foodtech Swiggy has announced $100 million Series F round from South African media heavyweight Naspers and China-based Meituan-Dianping.

Placio: Delhi-NCR-based Student housing startup Placio has raised $2 million Pre Series A round from Prestellar Ventures in its maiden funding raising event.

Joveo: Hyderabad-based Joveo, a job advertising platform, has raised $5 million in a Series A round led by its existing investor Nexus Venture Partners.

healthi: Early-stage VC Montane Ventures has led a $3.1 million funding round in Bengaluru-based digital preventive health startup healthi.

Furlenco: Bengaluru-based online furniture rental firm Furlenco has raised $1.5 million (Rs 10 crore) debt round from a slew of investors including Rekha Hrishikesh Mafatlal, Lakshmi Narayanan, and M Krishna Sindhuri Private Trust.

FarEye: Delhi-based logistics management software FarEye has raised $9.5 million (Rs 61.5 crore) in Series C round from Deutsche Post DHL Group.

Cash Suvidha: Delhi-based lending startup Cash Suvidha has secured $2.5 million from multiple financial institutions in a debt financing round.

CollegeDekho: Man Capital and GirnarSoft have made an investment to the tune of $2 million in Gurugram-based higher education-focused technology startup CollegeDekho.

CallHealth: Hyderabad-based CallHealth, an integrated healthcare services platform has raised $7.8 million (Rs 50 crore) from media conglomerate Bennett Coleman and Company Limited(BCCL).

Pratilipi: Local languages focused self-publishing e-platform, Pratilipi has clinched a $4.3 million (Rs 28 crore) fresh round led by Omidyar Network and Nexus Venture Partners.

HeyHolidays: Bengaluru-based holiday rental startup HeyHolidays has raised $1 million funding from Hampton Capital.

WebEngage: Mumbai-based marketing automation solutions provider WebEngage, has raised $0.1 million (Rs 65 lakhs) from Social Capital, a Palo Alto-based VC firm led by Chamath Palihapitiya.

Undisclosed deal this week:

Unicorn India Ventures in association with Kerala Startup Mission or KSUM has announced an undisclosed investment in three Kerala-based startups- GenRobotic, SectorQube & Perfectfit Fashion. Ahmedabad-based FoodMemories and Mumbai-based Propstack Services also did not close their funding amount.
