Wedding services aggregator The Wedding Brigade (TWB) has raised $1 million in a pre-Series A round of funding led by Blume Ventures. The funding round also saw participation from Czar Capital, Mountain Pine Capital, Lets Venture investors and the Keiretsu Forum.
Prior to this round, The Wedding Brigade had raised Rs 4 crores in 2016 led by Blume Ventures.
It will use the fresh proceeds to expand its team and business verticals, strengthening community and introducing a slew of new products and services to the market, TWB said in a press statement.

Previously known as Indear.in, the Mumbai-based company was incorporated in November 2014 by Sanna Vohra. It currently claims to be India’s only wedding platform that delivers curated content, products & services dedicated to weddings.
The company provides aggregation of services such as venues, catering, decoration, photography, and clothing needed for an Indian wedding.
The Wedding Brigade features and competitors
At TWB platform users can browse wedding inspiration and read original content on their blog, buy wedding-related products like clothing, costume jewelry, gifts, and book with access to services such as venues, make-up artists and more.
At present, the platform is operational in Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Goa. It also enables pan-India product delivery service and recently started international delivery.

TWB has also launched betas of its iOS and Android (link) social wedding apps which let users invite guests, make announcements, share photos and more. Meanwhile, Entrackr has failed to spot company iOS app.
In end-to-end wedding services, it competes with a plenty of startups including Wedmegood, 7Vachan, Wedmegood, Shaadisaga, BandBaajaa, Shaadimagic, and several others.
