Delhi-based Online golf community and marketplace startup GolfLan has raised $1.2 million from Dubai-based entrepreneur Deven Lakshmi Chand Bebhia.
The startup, which has operations in the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asian countries such as India, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, will use the funds primarily to expand operations in other countries, reported ET.
In November 2016, GolfLan raised $1 million (Rs 6.65 crore) from existing investors YourNest Angel Fund and Africa’s IT/ITES group iSON. In 2015 it raised $1 million in its first round of funding from YourNest and other angel investors.

Founded in March 2013 by Dhruv Verma, an XLRI alumnus with over 14 years of experience across BFSI, BPO and Telecom, GolfLan offers subscription-based service for golfers to book tee times through the startup without club membership.
Owned and operated by GolfLan Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd, the startup claims to have aggregated over 4,000 golf courses across 40 countries. On GolfLan’s cloud-based Software-as-a-Servive (SaaS) platform Online Tee Time Organiser (OTTO), golfers can make bookings from its platform to play golf as well as discover golf equipment and trainers. The company has grown to 200,000 users and seen over 600,000 bookings.

It acquired Dubai-based golf technology company, StayPrime in July 2016, to strengthen its technology platform with more value-added capabilities for providing a superior user experience.
StayPrime’s products and services have been in use in several golf courses, including Valderrama Golf Course in Spain and Wentworth in the UK.
