Delhi-based online table reservation startup EazyDiner has secured Rs 30 crore in Series-B round of funding led by its existing investors, DSG Consumer Partners and Saama Capital.
Besides the existing investors, Singapore-based early-stage venture capital firm Beenext and a West Asia-based family office also joined the funding round.
According to company executives, the Series-B round values EazyDiner at a pre-money valuation of Rs 250 crore.
In August 2015, the foodtech startup raised $3 mn in a new round of funding led by Saama Capital and its existing investor DSG Consumer Partners, and till date, the company has raised Rs 51 crore across rounds.
EazyDiner, which is targeting to set up operations in Abu Dhabi by the second or third quarter of next year had roped in Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh as its brand ambassador and investor in June this year.
"We will be focusing on improving our technology stack, and expanding our footprint within and outside the country's borders," said Rohit Dasgupta, CEO of EazyDiner.
Launched by one of the top food critics and journalist Vir Sanghvi along with India’s top hoteliers and restaurateurs, it is an online restaurant reservation platform that offers a curated guide for an extensive range of dining options, with special deals on every single booking and no reservation charges, according to the website of the company.
EazyDiner’s USP is to guarantee table reservations at sold-out standalone restaurants like The Indian Accent, Pa Pa Ya and Farzi. It also offers discounts or a free glass of wine or a dessert at popular restaurants including those in five-star hotels of ITCBSE, the Taj Group, Marriott and The Oberoi Group. At present, it is live in eight Indian cities and Dubai.
The start-up claims to be always on the lookout for new dining experiences and exciting cuisines. It has 53,000 restaurants listed and gets 15 lakh unique subscribers every month.
Besides Vir Sanghvi, other team members include Sue Reitz, Rohit Dasgupta, Sachin Pabreja, Shruti Kaul, Ruchika Dhamija and Manish Kutula.
