Cloud computing startup Minjar raises fund for Technology Enhancement

Cloud computing start-up Minjar has raised fresh funds on Thursday, in a round led by Blume Ventures and other investors to expand its businesses.

Cloud computing start-up Minjar has raised fresh funds on Thursday, in a round led by Blume Ventures. Among the other participants in the round include Contrarian Capital, Emergent Ventures, individual investors Pallav Nadhani, founder of FusionCharts, Helion Ventures co-founder Ashish Gupta, Indus Khaitan of SirionLabs, and Sharad Sharma of iSpirt also participated in the round.

The company and its CEO Vijay Rayapati also took to Twitter to disseminate the news of investment.

However, the amount of funding remains undisclosed. The funds will be used by the company to invest in product enhancement and in strengthening the R&D team, said the CEO of Minjar.

Minjar started in 2012 by tech professionals Vijay Rajapati, Anand, and Aparna Sharma, and developed an intelligent cloud operations platform, Botmetric, in 2014. Botmetric acts as a virtual cloud engineer to reduce the human effort involved in day-to-day cloud operations. Solutions backed by Botmetric SaaS platform to benefit medium to large companies in achieving their strategic business & cloud transformation goals. Minjar claims to be a leader in public cloud management solutions.

At present, Minjar has 85-member team working out of Bengaluru. It boasts of having almost 80% of its customers from the US. In India, it has customers like BigBasket, Tata Motors, and Shaadi. The company last year clocked $2 million in revenues.

Earlier in 2016, the startup has raised close to $1 Mn in funding from Silicon Valley-based Emergent Ventures. Emergent concentrates on companies that are looking at the US as their customer base. It has previously invested in startups like Cerebro Data, AlmaConnect, and SupplyAI.

Minjar is a fast growing platform enabled cloud solutions provider working with enterprise customers in their cloud management & operations transformation.

Minjar has a clientele set of more than 150, with 70% of its clients coming from the US. Some of its marquee clients include Samsung, Intuit, SolarWinds, InterTouch, JitterBit, Godrej, Aditya Birla Fashion, Voonik, Prezi, PopSugar, Axcient, AirPR, Takt, Coconuts Media, and Dashbid among others.
