Zomato has begun the home delivery of alcohol in Odisha under ‘Zomato Wine Shops’ on its app. Currently, this service has started from Bhubaneshwar and will expand to Rourkela, Balasore, Balangir, Sambalpur, Berhampur, and Cuttack in the coming weeks.
While the users can avail of this service from 9 am to 6 pm, the government has also introduced a 50%special ‘COVID fee’ on all types of foreign liquor and beer. Last week, Swiggy had also enabled the home delivery of alcohol in Ranchi after obtaining necessary approvals from the Jharkhand government.
