Uber is testing a new feature that will ask passengers a four-digit code before starting a ride. Unlike Ola, which sends OTP via SMS, Uber will send the code within the app.
This feature, if implemented, will solve security concerns for riders as well as driver-partners. Passengers often complain that cab driver begins the ride without actually arriving at the location or without the rider having boarded. The move will eliminate such issues. (Source)
