Swiggy has claimed that it delivers over 1.5 million orders every month on cycle. The foodtech major plans to scale delivery on the bicycle model as it observed that delivery time taken by bicycle is lesser than motorbikes.
Swiggy is also piloting EVs in 10 cities across the country. Rival Zomato had committed to converting 40% of its fleet into EV by 2021. Currently, Grofers, Flipkart and several others including logistics firms have been using EVs for last mile delivery.(Source)
