Startup India Fund missed targeted outlay by Rs 1,000 Cr

Startup India fund, launched in 2016, had a targeted outlay of Rs 3,300-3,500 crore towards VC firms by March ’19. However, by the deadline only 22% of these funds had been allocated with Rs 1,000 crore still remaining to be distributed among VCs.

According to the fund manager SIDBI, Startup India fund distributed Rs 2,265 crores by March ’19 and has now touched Rs 3,000 crore. This fund is intended to be used throughout 14th and 15th FCC which ends in 2025. (Source)
