Paytm is reportedly launching a new cellular connectivity payment device called ‘Soundbox’ for retailers to allow app-less transactions which will smoothen the transaction process.
Powered by MediaTek, Soundbox is a speaker with SIM card slot attached that will act as a voice-activated PoS (point-of-sale) machine for the retailer. It will essentially alert them at the time of accepting the payment. More features are expected to be added in the near future. (Source)
