Ola has hired Prashant Kumar as Director of Public Policy. Kumar is the son of NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar. Prashant will drive policy, corporate relations and will closely work with Anand Shaha who heads Ola Electric.
Previously, he was heading Mumbai office for US-India Strategic Partnership Forum. Indian government has been pushing ride-hailing apps to embrace electric fleet. Recently, it asked Uber-Ola to convert 40% of their cars into electric by April 2026. (Source)
