Senior bureaucrat Guruprasad Mohapatra has replaced Ramesh Abhishek as the new secretary of the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). Previously, he served as chairman of the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
An Indian Administrative Service officer of 1986 batch, Mohapatra also served as a joint secretary in the Department of Commerce. DPIIT looks at the matters related to the promotion of internal trade. (Source)
