Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has invested an undisclosed amount in new and used cars auto portal Cars24 as a part of series D round. Following the deal, Dhoni will be the brand ambassador and own equity in Vikram Chopra-led startup.
The deal looks like an endorsement for equity deal. Dhoni has been investing in startups for the past couple of years. In a deal similar to Cars24, he picked up equity in Run Adam and joined consumer electronics firm SoundLogic as a partner-evangelist. (Source)
