Genomics research firm MedGenome has secured $55 million in an equity funding round led by LeapFrog Investments along with existing investors – Sequoia Capital and Sofina also participated. The company would be utilizing the capital to expand its clinical genomic testing to India’s tier-2 and tier-3 towns and cities.
Founded by Sam Santhosh in 2013, MedGenome provides genetic tests for various diseases like cancer, metabolic diseases, neurological disorders, prenatal disorders, and eye diseases. (Source)
