Five-year-old startup SmartE, which provides electric mobility services and focuses on offering shared last-mile connectivity, has scooped up an investment of Rs 100 crore from Japan-based Mitsui in Series B round.
Two years ago, SmartE had raised an investment of $5 million in Series A round. The new infusion will enable it to expand into new markets and ramp up charging infra. With a current fleet of 1,000 electric three-wheelers in Delhi-NCR, SmartE ferries around 100,000 commuters on a daily basis. (Source)
