Hotstar set a record of accumulating 100M viewers throughout the much-hyped IND-PAK cricket match during the ICC World Cup 2019 ODI. Of this, 62% viewers were from non-metropolitan cities.
This time, viewers in Canada and US were also allowed to access the live-streaming matches from different platforms such as Hotstar app/website and third-party devices including Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, and Samsung Smart TV. However, this record is only for ODIs. Their highest ever was 300M viewers during IPL ’19. (Source)
