Home Ministry has issued new internet policy for government employees, contractual staff and consultants, curbing usage of social media apps on official devices. The new guidelines were issued after reports about ISI attacks leaking classified information was released.
Meanwhile, the Indian Army has also issued new guidelines for its officers regarding their use of social media. The officers have been given instructions to refrain from using Whatsapp for sending/receiving official information. (Source)
