Pharmacy chain Generico has raised $11 million funding in a Series A round from Lightbox. Existing investors Tomorrow Capital and Whiteboard Capital also participated. The startup would deploy the funds to strengthen its supply chain, technology, and healthcare prepositions.
Besides, the Mumbai-based Generico is also aiming to build up to 150 stores over the next two years and enter into disease management space. The two-year-old startup is known to run a specialized pharmacy retail chain of generic medicines. (Source)
