Former Managing Director (MD) of PayU India, Jitendra Gupta has been appointed as Board of Director of fintech startup BharatPe. Gupta will join the co-founders Ashneer Grover and Shashvat Nakrani, along with Sequoia’s Harshjit Sethi and Beenext’s Teru San on the company’s Board.
After resigning from PayU India as MD last month, this is his first official association with any other company. The development comes at a time when BharatPe is planning to double its headcount and expand its presence across the South.
