Delhi High Court has passed an interim order to prevent e-commerce marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal as well as Healthkart from advertising, displaying or offering for sale products related to Amway without its consent. The plaintiffs have claimed that several sellers were selling its products on the e-commerce websites in violation of the Direct Selling Guidelines.
Amazon argued that it was merely an intermediary under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and could not be held liable in any manner (Source)
