CamScanner app contains ad malware, removed from Google Play Store

A PDF converter app CamScanner has been removed from Google Play Store after it was found to have an advertising malware in its version 5.11.7. According to the Kaspersky researchers, the android app is shipped with a malicious Trojan-Dropper module that could seed ads and prompt users into signing up for paid services.

With over 100 million downloads, CamScanner has removed all the ad SDKs and will release its new version after due verification. (Source)
