Daalchini, a provider of instant-home food via IoT-enabled vending machines, has raised Rs 5 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by existing backer Artha Venture Fund. Angel investors including Ajay Kaul, Ashutosh Valani, Priyank Shah, Narendra Karnavat, and Amit Lakhotia also participated.
A brainchild of Prerna Kalra, ex-Paytm Product Head and Vidya Bhushan, Daalchini allows customers to order through mobile app and transports food through the specialized distribution networks to its customers in offices, hospitals, and hostels. It would utilize the fresh funds to expand the footprint to cover all metros and increase its product portfolio. (Source)
