Amazon’s India head Amit Agarwal has replaced former Google Southeast Asia and India vice-president Rajan Anandan to become chairperson of Internet and Mobile Association of India. IAMAI has also roped in Yatra CEO Dhruv Shringi for the vice chairman post.
The development comes ahead of e-commerce policy. Amazon and Flipkart have been lobbying for a favourable policy from the government. Satyan Gajwani, the vice-chairman of Times Internet, has been elected the new treasurer of the association. (Source)
