Fashion and lifestyle platform Absolute Brands and Retail has raised $2.5 million (about Rs 21 crore) in a seed round of funding led by Capstone Ventures along with participation from other angel investors.
The funds will be used to establish offline retail presence and enhance omnichannel customer experience, Absolute Brands said in a press release.
Founded in 2023 by Vishnu Prasad, Absolute Brands is building a network of in-house fashion apparel brands targeting both existing and new customer segments. The startup’s first apparel brand Big Hello offers stylish and high-quality clothes tailored to fit the unique curves and contours of Indian plus-size individuals. The company aims to open the first set of Big Hello stores over the next three months in Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad.
According to the company, it will also launch three new fashion brands that address unmet needs, open new segments, and reset the status quo.
Leveraging cutting-edge technologies and an omnichannel shopping presence, the company plans to redefine the fashion shopping experience, offering personalised solutions that resonate with specific preferences, values, and needs.
Absolute brands may directly or indirectly compete with companies like Aastey, The Mad Dresser, Hilo Design, Snitch, Flyrobe, Bombay Shirt Company amongst others.
