EvolveX Accelerator leads angel round in UcliQ

UcliQ, business-to-business marketplace for chicken and seafood, has secured Rs 0.7 crore ($85K) in an angel round led by EvolveX Accelerator in its second cohort. The funding round also witnessed the participation of HESA founder Vamsi Udayagiri.

The proceeds will be used to expand its reach and impact, UcliQ said in a press release.

Founded in 2019 by Sameer Malik, UcliQ provides meat supply chains by providing transparent and secure digital platform that connects buyers and sellers, including HoReCa (hotels, restaurants and cafes), manufacturers, wholesalers, brands, and other businesses. The platform offers logistics and leaves digital footprints, paving the way for reliable, standardised, and high-speed supply chains while addressing inefficiencies and reducing food wastage in the poultry, mutton, fish, seafood, live chicken birds, and ready-to-eat categories.

According to UcliQ, having initially targeted around 1,200-1,400 HoReCa businesses in Delhi/NCR, the company now sets its sights on reaching 20,000-25,000 businesses across Delhi/NCR, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad in the next 12 months, looking to achieve an estimated revenue of Rs 15 crore.

EvolveX Accelerator, founded by We Founder Circle, has been providing high-impact acceleration to early-revenue startups from various sectors since its inception in 2021. The program offers a range of benefits, including one-on-one mentorship sessions with handpicked angel investors and industry experts, upfront funding of $20K, and $200K worth of credits.
