T.A.C raises Rs 100 Cr in Series A round led by Sixth Sense Ventures

T.A.C – The Ayurveda Co., a D2C omnichannel Ayurvedic lifestyle brand, has raised Rs 100 crore in its Series A round led by Sixth Sense Ventures. The round also saw participation from actress Kajal Agarwal, a few notable startup founders and venture debt funds.

The funds raised will be used to expand offline presence, improve product manufacturing, expand research and development, and ramp up digital awareness around Ayurveda and T.A.C in the ecosystem, T.A.C said in a press release.

Prior to this round, the startup raised $3 million in March last year from Wipro Consumer Care Ventures, Rahul Gupta of Tricity Technologies, and Harsh Gupta of School of Design & Entrepreneurship.

T.A.C was founded in June 2021 by Param Bhargava and Shreedha Singh. The brand claims to have grown over 300% in the last 10 months, driven by a portfolio of 100 unique SKUs with an omni-channel distributor network across 20 EBOs, over 5,000 retail touchpoints and online channels. T.A.C recently forayed into global markets, starting with the MEA region with its Dubai launch.

Apart from directly selling from its D2C website, T.A.C products are also available via Amazon, Nykaa, Flipkart, Myntra, PharmEasy, 1MG and Zepto. T.A.C has already initiated its retail network across leading markets, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Chennai, the company said in a statement.

T.A.C plans to integrate and automate Dosha Consultation-based personalized skin, hair & wellness routines.
