Inker Robotics has raised $1.2 million in a pre-series A round led by AHK Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm.
The funding will help the company improve its training delivery platform, which will further help develop more engaging content focused on robotics and emerging technology education, Inker Robotics said in a press release.
Inker Robotics was founded by Rahul Balachandran and Amith Raman in 2018 under the Kerala StartUp Mission (KSUM).
The company claims to have a 4,500 sq ft robotics facility with 80 industry professionals. Its R&D engineers have also developed ALTON, which the company touts as the first-ever modular training robot designed to enable a holistic learning experience in robotics.
It has also set up a delivery platform – Inkerlearn – which aims to create an ecosystem wherein it integrates hardware and content to foster an engaging community, with the first product from this platform being the Inker Robomaker.
The objective of Robomaker is to kindle a scientific temper in young minds and make learning more immersive, experiential, and application-based.
