Engineering analytics platform Hatica has raised $3.7 million in seed funding led by Surge, Sequoia Capital India and Southeast Asia’s rapid scale-up program. Kae Capital and engineering leaders from Google, Uber, Twitter, Okata, and Notion as angels also participated in the firm’s second financing round.

The startup raised $900,000 from Kae Capital in a pre-seed round in January 2022.

The company plans to deploy the funds to enhance developer productivity and strengthen engineering analytics capabilities, Hatica said in a press release.

Co-founded in 2020 by Naomi Chopra and Haritabh Singh, Hatica is an engineering analytics platform which is built on the principles of modern productivity frameworks, like SPACE frameworks by Github and Microsoft. It delivers accurate metrics across three well-known pillars of developer productivity, velocity, alignment and wellbeing.

The San Francisco- headquartered startup integrates with Git repository hosting services such as GitHub, Gitlab and Bitbucket, communication tools including Slack, Google Meet and Zoom, project management solutions such as Asana, JIRA and Trello. Its solutions could also sync with OpsGenie, PagerDuty and VictorOps and CI/CD platforms such as Circle, CI, Jenkins and Phabricator.

Hatica claims to have already onboarded many large enterprises as clients including Amenify, Twitter, PayPal, Rakuten and Okta. It also claims to serve over 20,000 developers and engineering leaders and is looking to eventually reach 30 million developers globally.
