Battery tech startup e-TRNL Energy has raised Rs 7.5 crore led by Speciale Invest, a deep-tech venture capital firm. Other investors include Micelio Mobility, a clean mobility fund, and CIIE.
e-TRNL Energy will use the funds to ramp up the product cycle reducing the time-lines to deliver the products to its customers. The company has developed advanced battery technology which is safe, withstands the harsh conditions of electric mobility especially in the Indian climate with fast charging and cost efficiency.
Founded in 2021 by Apoorv Shaligram and Uttam Kumar Sen, e-TRNL Energy offers battery cells with higher energy density and lower heating compared to its peers, with better pricing economics.
Speciale Invest is a seed stage venture capital firm that invests in deep technology in cloud, voice and vision AI/ML, image analytics, AR/VR are among the interests of the fund. Its portfolio companies include Agnikul, Airboxr, Fego, CynLr, Astrogate Labs, Bluecopa, Rocketlane, and Skydo among others.
Last week, the VC firm backed GalaxEye Space, a spacetech startup focused on earth observation.
