Lachy Groom leads $3.7 Mn round in pet care startup Vetic

Pet care startup Vetic has raised $3.7 million in a seed funding round led by Lachy Groom. The round also witnessed participation of Utsav Somani, Nitin Saluja, Ritesh Agarwal, Abhinav Sinha, Shiva Singh Sangwan, Maninder Gulati, Revant Bhate, Anuj Tejpal, Abhishek Gupta and Manu Gupta amongst others.

The company plans to deploy the raised funds towards bolstering technology, establishing state-of-the-art medical infrastructure, as well as geographical expansion of Vetic’s clinic network across Delhi NCR and Bengaluru region, Vetic said in a press release.

Founded in August 2022 by Gaurav Ajmera, Vetic aims to provide pets with best-in-class medical care, and convenience to pet parents for all other pet care needs like nutrition, wellness etc. Vetic caters a full stack pet care experience through a combination technology platform and network of physical clinics offering services ranging from OPD, in-house diagnostics, surgeries, emergency care, grooming, online consultation, quick commerce and more.

Vetic claims to have 4 clinics in Gurugram and plans to scale to 15 clinics across Delhi NCR and Bengaluru regions by June 2023. It recently launched an Android and iOS mobile app, which enables seamless appointment booking and pet health record keeping, first of its kind in pet health care.

In this space, Goofy Tails, Wiggles, and Supertails have also raised funds in the past couple of years.
