Zapkey raises $2 Mn from Gruhas Proptech, Blume Founders Fund, others

Proptech startup Zapkey has raised $2 Million in its seed round led by Gruhas Proptech with participation from the DLF Family Office, Blume Founders Fund, the Alkem Labs Family, Aprameya Radhakrishna (Co-founder, Koo), Srini Sriniwasan (MD, Kotak Investment Advisors) and other individual investors.

Founded in 2020 by Shubhankar Dongre, Sandeep Reddy and Raja Seetharaman, Zapkey provides its customers with guaranteed home sales within 3 months of the listing date, or they buy the property themselves. According to the company, its pricing is driven by proprietary algorithms which track over 30 lakh property registration records.

The Mumbai-based firm started by providing easy online access to publicly available, authentic home registration data; thereby empowering its customers to make smart and informed decisions.

Zapkey’s data platform and proptech tool Matterport, creates a 3D digital twin of the apartment for buyers. It also provides measurement features, a detailed home inspection report with all the quality checks and scope of improvements mentioned in simple understandable terms.
