Strawcture Eco, a sustainable construction startup, has raised $375K in its seed round led by Social Alpha, Villgro Innovations Foundations, and Brigade REAP. The investment round also saw participation from Rahul Talwar (Director, DLF Family Office) and HNIs.
The seed investment will enable the startup to support product development, as well as expand sales and distribution channels to scale up to 18 cities across India, the company said in a press release.
Founded in 2018 by Shriti Pandey, Strawcture Eco develops high-engineered eco-friendly construction panels out of agricultural residues such as bagasse, paddy straw, and wheat straw.
The UP-based startup’s revenue claims to have grown by 100% in the last two years despite the Covid-19 situation, and its services clients in more than 11 states.
Some of its key clients include ICICI Infrastructures, Heritage Experiential International School, Jayadeva Hospital, and SELCO Foundation for numerous healthcare projects.
