Ninjacart acquires SaaS startup Tecxprt

Fresh produce supply chain company Ninjacart has acquired Tecxprt, a software as a service (SaaS)-based communication platform for an undisclosed sum.

As a part of the acquisition, Ninjacart will obtain direct access to Tecxprt’s rich technology suite, which will accelerate the digitisation within the organisation’s ecosystem.

On the other hand, their social network software will facilitate real-time communication across the food supply chain, from farmers, resellers, retailers, consumers to supply chain participants.

Led by Navin Murugan, Tecxprt automates complex business processes, undertaking multiple tasks to ensure business operations are streamlined and efficient. It allows users to lead, manage and track the progress of their organization and its employees from one place.

Ninjacart works closely with the farmers and claims to have helped over 1,00,000 farmers across 150 villages to generate better revenues. Backed by the likes of Walmart and Flipkart, the firm had recently launched an Agri Seed Fund worth $25 million to support emerging and new-age startups in the agriculture sector. The company had also facilitated $13.3 million worth ESOP buyback in January this year.

As per Fintrackr’s estimates, Ninjacart was valued at around $815 million during its Series D round in December last year.
