Sequoia’s Surge leads seed round in SaaS startup BiteSpeed

SaaS startup BiteSpeed has raised $1.9 million in its seed round led by Sequoia India’s Surge. First Cheque, Whiteboard Capital and angels including CRED founder Kunal Shah and Teachable founder Ankur Nagpal. 

Founded by Vinayak Aggarwal, BiteSpeed enables online brands to interact with their customers and sell their products on apps such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. .

The platform provides the tools for any e-commerce brand to be able to sell and engage with their customers on these chat apps This helps brands drive an estimated 10% of revenue through chat as a channel, reduce customer acquisition costs and increase lifetime value.

BiteSpeed is part of the sixth cohort of Sequoia Capital India’s accelerator program Surge which included 20 startups such as Airavana, BambooBox, Blend, 10 Minute School, Toplyne among others.
