Clinikk raises $4 Mn in pre-series A round

Healthtech and insurtech startup Clinikk has raised $4 million in a pre-series A round led by MassMutual Ventures, with participation from Kunal Shah, Rohit M.A., Anjali Bansal, Stanford Angels and other prominent individuals.

Existing investors Times Internet Group, EMVC, 500 Startups and WEH Ventures also joined the round. Prior to this round the startup had raised $2.4 million in seed capital.

The company plans to use the fresh capital in product development, hire key team members and expand its operations across the country.

Founded in 2016 by Suraj Baliga and Bhavjot Kaur, the company offers family health insurance coverage and OPD consultations delivered digitally through Clinikk care centres, all at a monthly subscription rate.

The Bengaluru-based company claims to have more than 10,000 families subscribed to the full stack plan, growing 30% month-on-month and aims to add 20 million subscribers in the top 50 Indian cities by 2025.
