Y Combinator-backed Cashbook raises $2.3 Mn in seed round

CashBook, a digital record-keeping app, has raised $2.3 million in its seed round led by JAM and Better Tomorrow Ventures. Kunal Shah, Anupam Mittal and a host of other angel investors have also participated in the round.

The funds raised through this round will be used to further enhance the product as well as to expand its presence pan-India, said CashBook in a press release.

Launched by Vivek Kumar and Ashutosh Pathak, CashBook helps small businesses track their income and expenses through their mobile app. It can add entries, segregate records, and find overall balance instantly. Within a year of its inception, the app claims to have grown clocking over 1 million downloads.

CashBook is a part of Y Combinator’s winter batch of 2021, which selected 14 Indian startups such as Bueno Finance, Fifth Try, FanPlay, Kiranakart, GroMo, YourQuote, SigNoz, Pit.Ai, Prescribe and many more.
