July Ventures has appointed Amitabh Srivastava and Ravindra Krishnappa as its managing partners. The duo would be joining the Bengaluru-based investment firm which includes Tirnellai Rajan Suresh, Badrinath Nelvagal, Hemannur Vidya Sagar, and Vishwanath Mysore Shankar as partners.
While Srivastava recently joined July Ventures, Krishnappa has been part of the group since 2011 as a board member. He has now been elevated to the position of a managing partner. “With the added active involvement of Amitabh and Ravi we are confident of making a mark in the early stage venture space”, said July Ventures, while announcing the development via a Linkedin post.
Besides joining July Ventures, Srivastava has been working with the Indian Angel Network (IAN) fund as a managing partner for over 12 years. At IAN Fund, he led investments in over 50 companies. Besides, he co-founded four entrepreneurial ventures including Infospectrum, India Science Venture Fund, and CSIR-Tech.
At present, Srivastava is also working with Siana Capital as a strategic advisor. He’s also a member of the technical advisory committee of the National Research Development Corporation or NRDC.
Krishnappa, on the other hand, has been an active angel investor. His past tenures include Inatech InfoSolutions, Tata Unisys, and Oracle Consulting, among others.
Apart from capital, the firm actively supports its portfolio to build their entities for scale. Launched in 2018, July Ventures claims to be a sector-agnostic fund in B2B and consumer tech sectors. Surprisingly, the firm hasn’t made any of its investment public. We didn’t find any mention of its investment either on the company’s website or media reports.
Importantly, the size and nature of the fund have also not been disclosed.
