Funding in Indian startups this week (22 June-27 June)

This week 13 Indian startups raised funding, of which 9 received a total sum of about $60 million. Among them, Aye Finance raised the highest funding of about $27.5 million followed by Slice, which raised $6 million.

Meanwhile, funding for 4 of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

Below is the summary of deals closed this week

Aye Finance: Microlending platform Aye Finance has secured $27.5 million worth Series E funding round led by its existing backer CapitalG, Google’s venture capital fund under its parent entity Alphabet Inc.

Yulu: Bicycle and electric scooter rental startup Yulu has announced raising $3.9 million in a fresh round led by Rocketship.VC.

Slice: Fintech startup Slice, formerly known as SlicePay, has secured $6 million in a pre-Series B funding led by existing backer Gunosy Capital. Kunal Shah, Better Capital, and existing investor Das Capital also participated in the latest round.

OZiva: Nutrition brand OZiva has secured $5 million in a Series A funding round led by Matrix Partners along with the participation of existing investor, Titan Capital.

91springboard: Coworking space provider 91springboard has raised $5.9 million from existing investors. The fresh capital has come from Singapore-based Freakout and Japan-based Shinsei Bank, among others.

Instasolv: Edtech platform Vedantu has invested $2 million in pre-Series A round in the Noida-based doubt-solving app Instasolv.

Bombay Play: Early-stage venture capital firm Leo Capital has led a $1.5 million pre-Series A round in gaming firm Bombay Play.

High Street Essentials: High Street Essentials, which operates fashion brands including FabAlley and Indya, has raised $2.72 million in its pre-Series C funding round ed by SAIF Partners and India Quotient.

Milkbasket: Grocery and milk delivery startup Milkbasket has raised $5.5 million in a fresh funding round led by Inflection Point (IP) Ventures. Existing backers Blume Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Mayfield India, Unilever Ventures and BeeNext also participated.

Undisclosed deals this week

Byju’s, Rusk Media, Horizon Quantum Computing, and Aether Biomedical did not disclose their financial details.
