This week 16 Indian startups raised funding, of which 11 received a total sum of about $139 million. Among them, Rupeek raised the highest funding of about $30 million followed by Ummeed Housing, which raised $23 million.
Meanwhile, funding for 5 of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.
Below is the summary of deals closed this week
Qure.ai: Healthcare AI firm Qure.ai has secured $16 million in a fresh financing round led by Sequoia Capital India. Singapore-based MassMutual Ventures Southeast Asia (SEA) also participated.
Rupeek: After raising $30 million in August 2019, Rupeek has raised another $30 million from Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal, GGV Capital and Korea’s KB Investments.
RailYatri: IntrCity RailYatri has raised $14 million in a fresh round led by Nandan Nilekani and Samsung Venture Investment. This round also saw participation from other existing investors, Omidyar Network and Blume Ventures.
Ummeed Housing: Ummeed Housing Finance has secured $23 million in a Series D equity round from a fund managed by Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia.
Josh Talks: A local language youth skilling and guidance platform Josh Talks has secured $1.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF) at a valuation of over Rs 100 crore.
Pepper: Online content marketplace platform Pepper has secured $0.3 million in a seed funding round led by Kunal Bahl and Titan Capital. YourStory, Saurabh Srivastava, Amit Ranja, Alok Mittal, and Ritesh Malik, among others, also participated.
Vogo: On-demand mobility company Vogo has closed $20 million round led by LGT Lightstone Aspada, with participation from existing investors Matrix Partners India, Kalaari Capital and Stellaris Venture Partners.
Flickstree: Artificial intelligence-based video publishing network, Flickstree has raised $3 million in its Series A round led by the Samsung Venture Investment.
Hasura: Developer tooling products startup Hasura has raised $9.9 million in its Series A round led by Vertex Ventures US.
iMerit: information technology startup focused on data labelling and annotation, iMerit has raised $20 million in a Series B funding round led by CDC Group Plc.
AjnaLens: AR/VR startup AjnaLens has raised $1.5 million in a Pre-Series-A funding round led by Maharashtra Defence and Aerospace Venture Fund (MDAVF).
Undisclosed deals this week
MinionLabs, Flutin, LetsShavedid, ABL Workspaces and Multibhashi not disclose their financial details on funding.
