Funding in Indian startups this week (01 April-06 April)

This week 17 Indian startups received funding, of which 14 received a total sum of about $330 million. Among them, OYO raised the highest funding of about $200 million followed by 1mg which raised about $45.4 million.

Meanwhile, funding for 3 of the total funded startups remained undisclosed.

Below is the summary of deals closed this week:

BlackBuck: Logistics startup BlackBuck raises $36 million from Accel Partners and B Capital Asia in ongoing Series D round.

Teamonk: Premium tea brand Teamonk Global has raised $1 million in Pre-series A funding round led by former McKinsey chief Rajat Gupta and Roots Ventures.

WedMeGood: Online wedding planning platform WedMeGood has picked up $2.6 million in Series A funding round led by Orchid India.

Transerv: Digital payment solution company Transerv has raised $6.5 million from Indiabulls Consumer Finance, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Indiabulls Ventures.

Little Black Book: Inventus India and IAN Fund have led a $5 million Series A round in Delhi-based startup Little Black Book.

KidzByte: Kids-focused news app KidzByte has raised $0.28 million in seed funding from serial entrepreneur Pranay Goyal. One of the rarest startups in this space, KidzByte will use the funds to scale its technology, expand user base and resources.

Nykaa: Nykaa is raising $14.2 million from Singapore-based investment firm TPG Growth at a valuation of Rs 5,027 crore ($724 million).

Intello Labs: Gurugram-based agritech startup Intello Labs has raised a $2 million seed round from Nexus Venture Partners and Omnivore.

SurveySparrow: Cloud-based customer experience platform SurveySparrow has raised $1.4 million from Prime Venture Partners.

Big Bang Boom Solutions: Defence-tech startup Big Bang Boom Solutions has bagged a $0.21 million grant for winning the ‘See Through Armor’ challenge by the Ministry of Defence under iDEX.

OYO: Airbnb has closed the Series E investment round in OYO. The deal may in the range of $100-200 million. (we are taking this figure as $200 Mn in total funding )

1mg: Gurugram-based online pharmacy startup 1mg has raised around $45.4 million from Corsiol Holding, AG’s subsidiary KWE Beteiligungen, Redwood Global, and others.

BharatPe: UPI-based payments app BharatPe has raised $15.5 million in Series A funding from Insight Partners, Sequoia, and Beenext.

Baxi-Fresh: Micro-delivery startup Baxi-Fresh has raised $0.28 million in a bridge round from its existing angel investors, including Alok Mittal, Founder and CEO of Indifi Technologies and others.

Undisclosed deals this week

Micro-mobility startup Pi Beam Labs, medical wearable startup ten3T, and AI-driven on demand cataloguing platform Flatpebble did not disclose their financial details on funding.
