Healthcare startup Cure.fit makes second acquisition in mental vertical with Seraniti


To uplift its mental wellness business, healthcare startup Cure.fit has acquired mental health platform Seraniti.

Post acquisition, Seraniti’s team of 15 therapists and its 8,000 customers will join Cure.fit. The healthcare firm will now have over 70 centres for this vertical.

This is second take over by Cure.fit in mental wellness vertical after a1000 yoga last year. Besides, it had also acquired ‘The Tribe’, premium online food delivery startup ‘Kristys Kitchen’.

Cure.fit co-founder Ankit Nagori confirmed that it has paid off angel investors in Seraniti. Though, he did not disclose the amount.

Seraniti got early stage funding from Cure.fit. It was founded in 2016 by mental wellness expert Dr Shyam Bhat and Ashwin Naik.

At present, mental wellness platform undertakes around 500 sessions in a month. As per Seraniti website, all its mental healthcare operations were acquired by and rebranded to Mind.fit from this month.

Founded in 2016 by former Flipkart executives Mukesh Bansal and Ankit Nagori, Cure.fit provides services such as fitness advice and medicine deliveries. It has got backing by Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy and Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan. By next year, it plans to expand to new geographies such as Southwest Asia.

In July this year, Cure.fit had raised $120 million in its Series C funding round led by IDG Ventures, Accel Partners, and Kalaari Capital.

The Bengaluru-based platform offers four variants of fitness services – Cult.fit, an app on physical fitness; Eat.fit takes charge of healthy food; and Mind.fit gives mental wellness training, and recently launched Care.fit, a primary healthcare vertical.

Recently, the company crossed 5 million Cult class bookings. This is a small yet significant milestone in our journey to make health easy for millions of users. Looking forward to hitting the 100 million mark in next few quarters, claimed its co-founder Ankit Nagori in a tweet.

Healthcare platform is aiming to achieve a revenue of $50 million this year.
